Afternoon Gents,

My Alfa 10v JTD 2.4 has developed a fuel leak. It tends to be worse when cold then stops leaking after about 5 Mins running time.

Items checked to date, Fuel lines, fuel filter (replaced) connections to filter and to the HPD Pump and to common rail although its not massive so i suspect its on the low pressure side.

The leak appears to be below the pump and is running down the back of the block over the sump.

I have a feeling this may be a pump seal:mad: and it looks like a mare to do:cry:

Can these be fixed?? or is it quicker to get a recon unit.

Comments please:)

In answer to my own post

It is the pump, they can be completely reconditioned unless a critical failure has occurred.

£130.00 for the job

Cheers
