About 3 days ago a noise started when she was cold,now it is continuous. Have removed plastic covers on cam drive and all seems good. The belt has 36k miles on the clock,and the belt tensioners seem not seized. The sound is not truly rotary like a tensioner seizing,more an intermittant screech which seems to be coming from the injector pump.
I recently gave her two courses of injector cleaner to cure smoke (it didn't), cleaning the EGR valve did,I wonder if the jollop I put in the tank to clean the injectors has done the pump in by lack of lubricant.
Has anybody any ideas or experience on this?
