Does anyone know if the pulley is replaceable on the 2.4 JTD spring loaded tensioner?

I don't fancy paying full-whack for a new one, only i've heard that the pulley itself can be bought seperate without the backing plate and the spring.

Does anyone know where i can get hold of one?

it would surely be avaliable at a bearings manufacturing company, you'd have to contact one directly and it most probably won't be listed as an alfa romeo part but you'd have to find it by dimensions... :)
I've been there and tried that. Failed miserably I'm afraid. I would be very interested if anybody else succeeds though.:)

I've come up with a way of overhauling them but its not ideal.:(

I've bought 2 bearings of the correct OD and pressed them in with a spacer between them. The ID isn't the same as the original so I've changed the original bolt for an engineered shoulder bolt (this is better than the original in my opinion). I'm lucky in that I have access to machine tools. I've bored out the original pivot bushes and replaced with new. Then I made a new pivot pin (the original is made of very corrosive cheese!!) with a better grade steel.

The only bit that isn't ideal is the back to back bearings. If I could source the original bearing I would be a lot happier.

Also I reused the spring. Also not ideal.

Decided to settle for an INA tensioner from ECP for a resonable (but still bloody expensive) £103, with free delivery.

So, guess what i'll be up to this weekend?
