OOPS forgot to introduce myself, I'm Darren hope your all well and enjoying your weekend. I'm the proud owner of 156 1.8 TS for the past 4 years with absolutely no probs whatsoever, until now!!!

After going for a short drive in my 156, I parked up as usual, after loading the car with 1 girlfriend and 1 infant, I put the key in the ignition to find all lights coming on the dash but nothing from the engine not even a click or anything. Tried battery and fuses but still nothing. Due the nature of the car breaking down I am hoping (praying) it is something very minor. Anyone got a clue as my car is sat sulking at the side of the house and looking very sorry for itself

Does the immobiliser light stay on? If so then look for threads about it......sometimes the aerial in the steering wheel moves. You could try holding your spare key close to the column whilst you try to start the car with the other key.

Can you hear the fuel pump or any relays clicking?

If the starter motor doesn't work then it could be it or a relay or the imobilser.
