HI Anyone

I've recently had my engine overhauled or so the garage claims. I still have a noise coming from the engine though(kind knocking noise). I sounds to me like valve rockers or maybe variator. Noise getting louder when car is warm(90ºC+). Car also heat up very quickly when driven slow 40Kmh-60Kmh. The thermostat has been taken out and if I'm right should run at lower temps?? Could all this be because of oilpump not working properly or perhaps oil cooler not doing his job as well?:irked:

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Why take the thermostat out? The engine will run cold, and it offers no advantage even in hot weather.

Go back to the garage. Do they know what they are doing?

I bought the care with thermostat out. and wasn't a problem until now. The problem is they gave me 3months gaurentee on the rebuild, but it started just after the 3 months.
