Hi,

I have 155 1.7 TS 8v which i've owned since 2011. It has never been a very fast car, but for me it was always acceptable. However, lately it feels like it's missing some power. I runs smooth, no hicups or so, but even at 100 km/h in 4th gear with full throttle, it won't accelerate as quickly as it used to. I've had no problem with driving it with a crusing speed of 150-160 km/h, but right now it takes ages to reach that speed.

I know it is a little vague, but I hope there is someone here who is able to help me with my problem.

The mass air flow (MAF) sensor is usually the culprit. That said, I'm not familiar with the engine so I don't know if it is perhaps the old sprung vane type air flow meter which is integrated into the air filter housing.
