If I may... :) It seems to me that visually speaking, darker wheels don't fill the wheel arch as much as their clear counterparts. Also in my case I would want bigger wheels so as to conceal a bit more the lighter, rolling part of the tire.

Thinking of fitting black 18's to my 166. Love the photo, but the wife's not keen.

Oh well ! Guess i've got to find a new wife.

Nooooooo. Whats this fascination with black wheels? Always look to me like steel wheels with the plastic trims either fallen off, or been stolen

Black wheels might look weird, but titanium/smoke/gunmetal does look very well on most cars.

I prefer anthracite,


plus if you go black you need to carry around a tin of tyre shine in the glovebox as the tyres will let the alloys down.
