I love driving my 156 - really happy with it but wondering if for my next car I should go for something smaller in a couple years time - logical conclusion = get a 147.

Just had a look on autotrader for specs and I see that the 2.0 147 has a slower 0-60.

I don't know very much about cars (obviously!) but I was just wondering what the reason for this is?

I would have thought that if they have similar/the same engines they'd be faster due to being less heavy etc?

Also from people who have had both which do you prefer and why?

I don't think there's much in it weight wise between the two, but after having had a 147 2.0, they are a lovely car.

I've made the same move 2 weeks ago, I reluctantly traded in my 156 1.8 petrol Tourismo for a 147 1.9 JTD Lusso, reason for change was to cut costs (fuel, tax etc....)

I don't regret it one bit, the boots smaller so need to fold down back seat to fit in my golf gear but apart from that it was a no brainer for me. My 147 feels like my 156's angry wee brother
