Hi guys,

I started my first service on my 147 (2004, 1.6L) and was shocked to find out the price of a set of spark plugs from the alfa dealer - has to be a cheaper way, right?

Currently in the car are NGK plugs, four of PMR7A and four of BKR6EKPA.

I can easily get my hands on BOSCH plugs, so am wondering if you know of a bosch equivalent for the same NGK plugs.

In the reference book, the BKR6EKPA plug is the same as the Bosch FR7DP or FR7DC+. But the NGK has twin electrodes, where as the bosch only has one electrode. Does this make a difference?

Would anyone know what the bosch equivalent is for the NGK PMR7A?

Thanks very much for the help guys!

I'd stick to NGK, but find an alternative source to the stealer...

Out of interest, what did the stealer quote you?

360 euro! can you believe that? But he was a very kind stealer, and said he had a set on the shelf he'd give me for 108.. or maybe he said 180... I dunno, I wasn't trusting me ears to listen correctly at that point.

Also, I bought a new plug for the oil sump, that cost me 20 euros.

Thanks for that link, that might be the way to go.

Do you know off hand what the mileage is from the NGK plugs?
