Is it normal for the slide pins to have a rubber cover on the pin not the flexi outer cover? The bottom pin has the top one is a normal pin (rear calliper)
I read somewhere that the short pin should be the "trailing" i.e. second pin in the direction the brake disc rotates...so as front calipers are always flipped the other way around to the rears like this F O) (O R the pin will be at the top on a front caliper. Can anyone confirm this? I didn't notice which way up they were during disassembly and there's a lot of conflicting information elsewhere.Yes it's normal. Rubber sleeved, shorter pin at the bottom - plain, longer pin at the top.
