Hi everyone,

I need some input here, has anyone replaced the balljoints on their lower control arms, is this possible?

Do not want to replace entire control as the bushes are still good but there is play in the balljoint.

Thanks

Buy the whole lot and dont buy the cheap ones of Ebay or any cheap ones come to that as they'll be knocking within the first 300 mile.

The ball joints are machined into the casting of the arm itself, there's no separate part. Odd way of doing things, not repair friendly.

Decent arms are quite robust on these cars. OE (TRW) are best but any quality brand would do. Ocap, Moog, Firstline (Borg & Beck) would probably be ok. You may need mounting bolts. If they break, be aware the are M10 with 1.25mm thread pitch. There are 3 different lengths of bolt per arm. They are very high tensile (marked 10.9 and not the usual 8.8). They are better than normal zinc plated bolts.

Look on EB Spares or Alfa Workshop for information.
