Hi,

I've read through quite a few threads on here about the clutch pedal feel on the 147. Most of them are about a stiff clutch but I'm not really having this problem.

When I first got the car just over a month ago it had a creaking noise when depressing and releasing the clutch, and quite a high biting point.

I had the creaking noise fixed by the garage I bought it from (I take it they just lubed up the linkage a bit) but it came back a week later.

A few days back I started getting a sticking feeling both when depressing and releasing the clutch pedal, like it was getting caught on something half way, and then suddenly releasing.

Now a few days later I have a feeling of nothingness for about the first 2 inches of pedal travel, I can easily depress it by just pushing it with a finger! Then after that it feels like it should do, but the clutch is now biting very low down, and when releasing the pedal it sometimes gets a bit stuck and then randomly flips up, and this is in the space in the travel where there is no resistance at all from the clucth pedal.

Any ideas?

Just been out in the car again and the clutch pedal is now sitting very low! It occasionally decides to spring back to its normal position but is still just flopping about if it does. I'm not sure if its just my imagination now that the clutch pedal is a lot lower.....but it feels like the brake pedal has come up higher and is much stiffer than it was before! There used to be some travel in the pedal before the brakes would engage fully but it now feels like they engage straight away when the pedal is pressed.

Are the hydraulics for the brakes and clutch linked?
