What you trying to find out? The JTD's have external slave cylinders when compared to the petrol engined clutches wich have slave cylinders inside the bell housing? You may also need to replace the dual mass flywheel. Both cases have a hydraulic cylinder pushing the "release" bearing in most languages! Mucho dinero!!!

According to two suppliers the 147 jtd may have concentric or an external slave cylinder relative to bhp etc.The fact is it seems there are 4 different types of clutch for my car, but ive asked the question cos a jtd owner probably knows more about types than eurocarparts etc.

Call Alternative Autos, EB Spares or AutoLusso. They can all tell you what you need ... as soon as they get off the common cars, most general car parts outlets are stumped.

I took the gearbox off today and the bearing sits inside the cover and pulls the cover apart rather than the normal way a clutch operates to depress the cover.I presume the new bearing sits on the fork and locks into position the first time the clutch is depressed i may be wrong advice would be handy ive not done this type before, i cannot see how the clutch could be reassembled any other way.

I see what you mean now, you just need to guide the operating arm into the mechanism and onto the bearing. I did a similar job on a peugeot 306 last year.
