hello folks i have owned a 04 ...147 1.6 now for a year and have loved this car.....i belive it to be the 120 bhp version ........ ok here is my questions
cylinder head gasket now needs to be replaced
and will change the timiming belt and tensioner as well

how esential is the cam lockers to set the timimng.is there no timing marks on the fly wheels/ cam wheels....

i have noticed alot of people have put 2.0 litre cams in the 1.6 is it not easyer just to replace the whole head as the engine looks to be the same

does the ecu need to be replaced or remapped when this is done?

what gains if any will this give me..

any info would be a help as im doing the work myself

cheers

Cam locks are important.

There are plenty of old threads in regards to the cam conversion. Try the search button

I'd be wary of changing the cams without having it remapped afterwards.

Could be wrong though, I'm sure someone on here will know for sure
