€119 a side?!?! I’d want it made from titanium at that price!!
its odd the standard 156 ones are 30 odd quid. the gta ones are 119 but im informed they are indentical .. so im wondering if the 147 ones are indentical to the gta ones thus the standard 156 ones too or if they are all indentical.

When I get a chance I can look at my ePer disc and cross reference part numbers...

For example the check straps for my 147; the part numbers are identical for the GT...

yes i agree but ive also found identical parts with different codes.. gta rear alloy beam has a different number to standard so does the wing support but are in fact identical from what i can see measure deduce etc... so not always fool proof

The last price I have on ePER (a few years old obviously) has them all around £100, only £1 either way for the different ones.

Ah fantastic thank you very much!
My 147 is a 2001 so I guess I’d better get the earlier left hand part.

I’m wondering if this is due to the face-change but then the right hand would change too...

Maybe... was there a change in the Air Intake design?
My Air Intake area cover (fabric moulded same as the bonnet lining) is sagging and delaminating and I’m wondering if there’s a better design of replacement maybe if that’s the case?..

Not related to the facelift. The facelift used the same parts.
The change is related to the air intake apparently, but you'd use the later part on an earlier car too. It was a replacement part. The earlier p/n was replaced by the later one.

Ah great thanks so there was a change with the Air Intake...
Do you know what they did there please?
Am I missing a simple mod/ upgrade?
Would be great to know!
Thanks! ✌😎

That cloth cover can be repaired using contact adhesive, I have done mine and its a lot better.

The area where it fits is used for different things dependant on the engine model.

Engines with a selespeed gearbox the oil reservoir is fitted there.

Diesel engines the air intake is routed down that area.

Thanks that clears that up!

I was planning to do just that with the contact adhesive (spray glue?)

I cannot get one of the screws off - the lower one so I'll persevere; probably have to file a channel for the screw then replace it.

I was wondering if they'd updated that cloth section for something a bit more rigid.

Hopefully I can fix my one and make it a bit more pert and secure again

I think It's more for soundproofing due to the void it covers.
