Hi

I'm new to this as only just got an Alfa!

I have a 147 1.9 JTDM 54 Reg, and the slave cylinder is on the way out, I just wondered if anyone out there knows if it is a job I can do at home, or a specialist job, I have had 1 person tell me its a bolt on unit, which is fine, and another tell me its in the bell housing and is a gearbox off job! I am a fitter by trade, so no problem with tools, but as this is my first Alfa, I dont know which of the 2 systems I have!!

Any help will be much appreciated!!

thanks

My GT has the same engine and the slave is under the battery tray ....pretty sure its the same on your 147. So yeah, you can do it at home.

Me and the AA guy did mine, as a joint effort.
