My ignition key remote (and the spare one) will no longer operate the boot latch but the dash release button works ok. Any assistance gratefully received. The car is a 52, 1.6. thanks

Give the key a shake. If you can hear a rattle then I believe the transponder switch has broken off inside.

If so there is a member on here (Chris I think) who fixes them via ebay. I keep meaning to send him my spare!
