Hi All,

Got a problem here.
147 1.6TS
When you put the ignition on, Check engine light starts blinking really fast, ECU relays in engine bay ticking like crazy, and Immobilizer Failure message on the dashboard. The car has the two original keys and i scanned the immo with T300 but shows no problems.
The 156 does the same thing with the Engine light and relays but sometimes would catch on and start and once started there are no problems or lights on the dash.
I don't have any history on the cars as they were imported and thats how they came of the ship.

Just wandering if someone ever had a similar problem because i'm going crazy here.

Cheers

sounds like both of the batterys may need more water added & a good re-charging.

even certain type 'sealed' batterys can be opened & topped up with DMW.

otherwise check for corrosion on the terminals & for rust on the earthe leads going to the engine

Here is what i found so far.
The clicking sound actually comes from the throttle body.
If i disconnect the throttle body plug, the engine light stops blinking and stays still, and there is no more message about the immo being faulty.
But the throttle body works fine on the other car when swapped.

Any ideas?

Wow thats almost 4 years ago.
But yes, we fitted new engine ECU to the 147 and was all good.
The 156 "fixed itself" , go figure.

Good luck
