Hi, need to change the oil in the 147 sometime in the next month.

My other half thinks putting the cheapest oil in is best - which would be Millers Trident 5W-40 fully synth @ £26.99 from Opie Oils (including filter)

I've recommended she pays a little bit more and gets Motul 8100 X-Cess 5W-40 Fully Synth, as its the same oil I use in my 350z and in my opinion it's worth the extra tenner.

Any other recommendations? Hoping someone other than me can convince her!

I second the Motul. That and Shell Helix Ultra have been the only oils used since I rebuilt the TS and it is still pristine inside.

If your engine uses oil, it will use a little less with Motul.

I use CASTROL MAGNATEC 10W-40. From the first kms I used them (3 years ago), I noticed less engine noise and generally smoother running. Here in Greece they cost 6 euros/lt.
