Hey Alfistas!

I just bought a renewed head (skimmed, new valve seals, pressure tested as i've been told) and a gasket set. Fitted it all together, all 4 cylinders have over 175psi pressure, starts and goes normally (okay, a bit more spicy, since i only had 2liter cams in good condition, the intake one with new variator :)), but spits blue clouds when pulling away harder. No smoke on idle/cold..
The old head was horrible.. pitted all over the water passages and cams were worn badly.

Checked the PCV valve, it looks okay to me... i was trying to find a new one in the past with no luck.

Any thoughts?

I cannot help you, but i had the same issues (even on idle) after gasket and variator change. I had to replace my engine cuz it dead after a month and the problem was gone.
Sorry to hear it again.

this is a sobering story

are you saying you are running different cams..?

I would say (aside from a cylinder-compression failure) that the ECU is clashing with the cam-profiles which it doesn't recognise...
