After a very near miss (thank god for Brembos!) with one of those insurance fraudsters today who decided to slam on his brakes at 45mph, I've decided it's probably time to install a camera just in case anything happens again.

I don't really want stuff hanging around inside the car (which would be tempting to thieves - quite a large problem in London) so I've decided to mount it just behind the front grill. I was just wondering where the best place in the engine bay is to grab a 12v switched live is - or whether it would be better to run my own from, say, behind the cigarette lighter.
