The video was pleasant enough, but not worth the half day it took to download. So am I supposed to recognize the people in it? JaB mentioned something about a Mr. Alfaholic?

Toronto...

The 1st guy in it was Richard Banks who runs a very well known 105 parts suppliers called
Alfaholics
wink well known in these parts anyway :D

And Jano wosshisface is the man behind Autodelta the Alfa tuning specialists.

I would be very surprised if you had heard of either :)

Altho' I see no reason why Alfaholics would have escaped your notice for spares, I drive a left hooker as well and he's supplied me with bits :)

JaB,

I've heard of AutoDelta Jano -- he actually posts on this board -- but I don't think I've seen his picture, or ever heard his last name.

The Alfaholics name sounds familiar, but I try to keep my parts suppliers to this side of the ocean. wink International shipping charges kill most purchases for me. Even the parts I buy from the States I try not to ship. I don't need to pay import duties and Canadian taxes on top of big, American dollar bills.

JaB,

Well dubyah needs a lot of things, but my tax dollars aren't on that list. wink

My import duties and GST surcharge would go straight to Ottawa, and my PST payment would line coffers in Toronto, but trust me, neither place really needs my money, and they actually admit as much. If not, they wouldn't allow me to carry car parts across the border and declare them as duty free after I spend some time in the "land of the free." wink :D

Well, maybe "admit as much" is wishful thinking. :D

I should have said "they haven't given enough thought to the practice of importing car parts under the duty free exemption for travellers." I probably shouldn't say this too loud or it might attract the attention of the tax collecting bean counters. :D
