To celebrate 100 years of Alfa Romeo on Sunday 16th May 2010 we will be holding a road trip to North Wales with a finale on the EVO Triangle.

The idea is to have at least 100 Alfas in attendance (this will also include other Italian marques as a full celebration of Italian cars).

New route...
The start/meet point will be near Chester at the Holiday Inn (Chester West near Northop), heading off from there onto the A55 to Bangor (A5 services just off the A55). We'll have a stop here so everyone can catch up, toilet break or grab a sandwich etc. Then mooch down to Llanberis & up the Pen y pass beneath Snowdon. We had planned to head to Betws y Coed for food but instead we'll head down past Beddgelert to Bala for the next stop point. This will be around lunch time so people can head into Bala or bring sandwiches, snacks and eat next to Lake. After lunch we'll head to the Triangle. Owners can then drive a few circuits of it with picture opportunities etc along the way. There is a parking stop next to the Triangle by Llyn Brenig where we can stop for a break before everyone heads off home.

Google Map Route

TomTom itn Route File

As a rough timetable:

Meet at 10am - allow everyone to assemble etc. Then head off about 10.30 - 11am. Bangor/Llanberis by 12.30pm.

Bala for lunch by 1.30pm. Up to the Triangle for 3pm. Finish & head home 5.30pm

That route should take in some exceptional scenery. The first part of the route is a bit of boring dual carriageway, (with tunnels :D) but the idea of the route is that you are working your way back through great scenery and great roads.

Details and route may be revised closer to the date.

I think I went round it last year on a day trip out, temptingly fast roads.
Bring it on.

Possible other italian marques & models joining us on the day at this point will be:

Lancia Delta Inters/Evo's, 500 Abarth & Grande Punto Abarth's & Fiat Coupe's.

Non 100% confirmed at this point in time, but will be cracking if they do come along.

Keep you posted.

Many thanks for the mention in the email about this:cool:

As regional rep for the Fiat Coupé Club, I can confirm that we'll be there:thumbs:

I'll start a thread and get some names and numbers together, but I think and am hoping that I'll get at least 20 Coupé owners who'll come along:)

:D

I've had the Coupé for three and a half years, so am surprised you haven't seen it around.

I'm usually around Gwersyllt, Brymbo areas, as well as places like the Maelor hospital, Tesco, etc:D

Give me a wave and a flash if you see me, although I'm usually in a world of my own, but I'll do the same back if I see you:)

"Stop at the Swallow Falls Hotel for lunch" will they manage to sort 100 people out??
Yeah I can see where your coming from rbt. The Swallow Falls is only a very short distance from Betws y coed. Some of the guys may want to stop there as an overflow as it has many cafe's & hotels serving food. Toliets etc.

Some people may even bring there own food etc (Which maybe a good idea incase of any food & drink issues that may arise on the day, best laid plans & all that).

So basically the Swallow Falls / Betws y coed will be the refreshment stop.

We'll get it all sorted before hand though, so no worries.

Be nice to have some Deltas and Coupes along too! :)

I bought a Delta GTie in Wales and then sold it to someone back down there, he then sold it to a specialist garage of some sort.....they supposidly had big plans for it, any ideas what garage this would be folks?
