To celebrate 100 years of Alfa Romeo on Sunday 16th May 2010 we will be holding a road trip to North Wales with a finale on the EVO Triangle.
The idea is to have at least 100 Alfas in attendance (this will also include other Italian marques as a full celebration of Italian cars).
New route...
The start/meet point will be near Chester at the Holiday Inn (Chester West near Northop), heading off from there onto the A55 to Bangor (A5 services just off the A55). We'll have a stop here so everyone can catch up, toilet break or grab a sandwich etc. Then mooch down to Llanberis & up the Pen y pass beneath Snowdon. We had planned to head to Betws y Coed for food but instead we'll head down past Beddgelert to Bala for the next stop point. This will be around lunch time so people can head into Bala or bring sandwiches, snacks and eat next to Lake. After lunch we'll head to the Triangle. Owners can then drive a few circuits of it with picture opportunities etc along the way. There is a parking stop next to the Triangle by Llyn Brenig where we can stop for a break before everyone heads off home.

As a rough timetable:
Meet at 10am - allow everyone to assemble etc. Then head off about 10.30 - 11am. Bangor/Llanberis by 12.30pm.
Bala for lunch by 1.30pm. Up to the Triangle for 3pm. Finish & head home 5.30pm
That route should take in some exceptional scenery. The first part of the route is a bit of boring dual carriageway, (with tunnels
) but the idea of the route is that you are working your way back through great scenery and great roads.
Details and route may be revised closer to the date.
