Am going to treat my 147 2.0TS to an oil and filter change this weekend. Do you think a 10/40W semi synth is sufficient?

That's the visco I used in the summer. Good brand one though, with all the accreditation on the reverse label, so not really cheap.:(:

Not so bothered about the cost of the oil, if it's the right stuff then that'll do me.

Why not use a 5W/40 fully synthetic then? Have a look here for oil range etc.

10/40 served me well in my turboed 16 valver, and the machine clocked over 70k still on it's original turbo. Used that mainly in the 147 no problems at all, but some need regular level checks as they tend to use a bit. Ours never did.:):

Motul 8100 X-cess 5W-40 for me then. Have used motul in all my motorbikes in the past. It's good stuff.

I am currently on Havoline synthetic 5w-40 in my coupe. Its good stuff.

Shell helix Ultra 5w-40 is also good stuff.
