Ive a 147 1.9jtd 8v with a snapped cambelt.Ive been informed generally speaking its the rockers that need replacing and little else apart from the belt waterpump pulleys etc.Anyone else have any first hand experience cheers.

The 8v/10v don't have rockers.

The cams are direct onto the tappet with shims.

It will have bent valves if its an 8v. Head off time.

Assuming its in need of plenty of valves and guides does also it kill the pistons and bottom end if so maybe another secondhand engine is a cheaper option. Whilst im on the subject is the fiat stilo 1.9 8v the same engine.

Depends on the year of the Stilo, if its the 115hp version then yes it will be.

I've never heard of a 8v having piston or bottom end problems after a rebuild but we've not done cambelt failure repairs on many, probably 10 or maybe less in the last couple of years I've been with AL.

Hi, that engine is used in a lot of fiats, it is also used in the saab and vauxhall in 120 bhp form, If you need just a head it would be worth checking if they are the same as there are a few more about
