Giulietta 2014 1.4 MA

Had the car for about 4 years and the problem has always existed but has gotten slightly worse over time and much worse in cold weather.

In warm weather the car starts fine but as soon as I pull off the car judders for a couple of seconds almost stalling ,after that it runs perfectly it only ever happens the first time I pull off.

In freezing temperatures when I start the car it will stall at idle unless i keep the revs up for a few seconds, then if i pull off it will judder again but there's a higher chance of stalling, again the engine works perfectly afterwards.

Currently the temperature is in-between cold and warm and it idles fine at start but still stalls when I pull off if i don't give it enough revs.

Warming the engine up before driving makes no difference it only happens when I first pull off.

It has Selenia 5w40,new spark plugs, changing the oil filter and multi air filter made no difference,no errors or warning lights have ever appeared although I only have a cheap generic reader.

Find a garage that will retrieve the codes for free, it only takes 5 mins. I suspect your generic reader is not able to read them. I tried a couple of android apps on an astra recently and they never showed any of the errors, useless. Sounds like something simple, a sensor maybe.

edit: Do you see the rev counter dropping close to zero before it stalls or does it just stall suddenly when the revs are normal ? Throttle body gunged up or throttle sensor ?

Hand brake binding?? Easy enough to test. Over night, just leave the car in gear with the H/B off.
