I have a two month old 2.2 Brera that has a strong petrol smell in the car but It only happens under certain driving conditions.

These vary from standing in traffic on the M25 (T's & P's normal)to parking up after a thrash on the back roads??

I can see nothing obviouse under the bonnet & it doesnt appear to be comming from the back end.

Has anyone else had this happen?

Thanks for the reply.

I thought i was sucking someone's tail pipe at first but it appears not.

I guess i will just have to keep a nose on it.

Cheers.

Moved to the Brera technical area;)

Perhaps get it looked at by a dealer. My neighbour gas this issue with his Citroen C4 it they cured it in the end.

Dealer issue.

Probably a fuel leak somewhere.

Only recently heard of a Merc with this type of issue.
(Split fuel line.)

I've had this in the past (although I can't remember on which car now).

It was a small fuel leak and the fuel was evaporating almost instantaneously making it very hard to spot.
