Hi everyone i was just wondering if 1. the 10 disc Blaupunkt CD changer in my 147's boot is standard fit and 2. if they have any issues with playing copied CD's i don't like keeping my actually CD's in the car i always make copies just in case they either get stolen or damaged in some way but the changer seems to skip my copied discs but plays the genuine ones fine?

and also i have a Pioneer Head unit which i purchased for my GTV a few months ago would there be any issue in fitting that to the 147 i've been told that sometimes aftermarket Stereo's for some reasons can cause the mileage display to flash???

Use Verbatim discs for the copies.

Mileage flashing is a CANBus error.

You won't be attaching the aftermarket HU to the CANBus so no issue there.

No problem, but obviously your cd-changer won't work with the Pioneer

if the Verbatim discs work in the CD changer then installing the Pioneer head unit isn't even an issue it was only an option if i couldn't get my copied discs to play in the changer

I've just thought  i know exactly why my copied CD's won't work, it's simply because when i bought my Pioneer CD Player for the last car it was capable of playing MP3 cd's so i'd burnt the discs as data discs rather than a music disk.... Doh

nah i'm quite happy with what i have now i know i need normal discs  the sound quality in the 147 ( even though it's the standard cassette head unit with changer ) is 1000 times better than the GTV even though i'd upgraded to Vibe speakers and a Pioneer head unit
