Could be but he’s not asking for a non refundable deposit at the end of the auction, its higher miles and a bit tatty.

If you live close by then it might be worth a punt.

Ad states 2 months MOT left in the text.

One aspect bothers me...works away a lot but still managed to clock up 20k miles a year??? Presumably the first owner(?) did most of the miles.

....or one of the three previous owners!

Four years old, four owners?

Genuine seller or not, this rings so many alarm bells that I wouldn't touch it with very long barge pole!

I`d say VERY Doggy IMO and wouldn`t touch it.Problery been stolen and recovered. The crocks proberly ragged the [email protected] out of it, that how it needs three new tyres and has a nasty dent. MOT + Tax + 4x Tyes and the dent repair = £1000 easliy + 60k service due £600 don`t seem that much of a bargin anymore especially with the mileage to take consideration of.

Too expensive to be a scam, but the description worries me. I bet the car is in a bad shape(been abused and such) and that's why the lower price.
If somebody is willing to invest another 2k at least in the car, might be worth it, but otherwise I would stay away.

The best way to find a scam car is to search for the same car on Autotrader - you usually find the real car - at a higher price, and this is where the Ebay scammer copied and pasted all the details and pictures from!

SOLD!

I queried the fact that ad originally stated 270bhp and asked for some other details - I received the following reply:

"sorry its 250 bhp fsh main dealer car is mint in and out apart from that ding"

Had a phone call of one of my mates earlier and said he had just bought a 147GTA.. Turns out it was this one in question!!
Had it for less then £8k, but had bald tyres, dent in wing, needed cambelt service ect..
He's an Alfa repair/service specialist so can do it all himself (if not the paint) so will work out a very cheap GTA.
Not to say i would have bought it but cheap car none the less..

Well I told you it is not a scam, so somebody must not be telling the truth.

I was surprised with this comment as advert, price and response to my questions all seemed genuine. Has now proven to be the case - Therefore !00% Legitimate!!

My brother was going to go for it but after all the humming & hawwing it was away - Tough luck!

Good luck to the new owner - Bargain! I reckoned about £700 to £800 for ding repair, cambelt service and tyres. He paid under £8k so will have a fully sorted GTA for around £8.5k, well done that man!
