If it's been prepped properly, it's worth every penny. It's practically a new car.

, and it's only a TS? That's ridiculous.
That comment is ridiculous.

What is it about the V6 that makes owners look down on the Twinnie? Makes no sense.

I bet it hasn't had the cambelt done, the oil changed and the tyres are probably the originals too.

Lack of use is also known to cause issues.

I would rather have a car that had been used presonally, plus it would be cheaper.

As for it being a TS, there is nothing wrong with that as such it is just the V6 is better. :p

Bit of an assumption that I'm 'looking down' on twinnies there. It's a smaller, slower engine.

Yes that's what I was trying to say, for 12k I'd want a bit more than a 10+ year old 2.0 TS. Seems to have hit a nerve though...

But it's the smaller engined cars that are selling, not gas guzzling V6's V8's etc. A better engine maybe, but that doesn't make it more saleable.

Plus bloody one!

I normally side with those who call some of the cups about at the moment 'overpriced', however this is something completely special.

It's probably one of only a handful of 916s to have done little more than delivery miles and is in showroom condition. I would expect a car that's been kept in this condition aesthetically probably has an owner that's able to lavish money on it - I bet it's got a detailed history.

If so, this truly is a car you would pay that money for :inlove:

Yes I agree, in my opinion that is true to a certain price range but for 12k at that age and engine I think the price is too high.
Think you're slightly missing the point. If our cars are destined to become classics then it's the examples like this that will lead the way. Age and to a lesser extent, engine, are irrelevant - its condition will sell it.

And if it hasn't?

lots of bills coming  anything with bushes will need replacing, as will the belts etc, engine will require a bit of tlc for a while (soft driving for a bit)

An expensive car that may cost more in the long run.

Whats amazing to me is someone buying this from new and never drives it. That's only 316 miles a year. If he wants something to look at, buy a painting.
Bit harsh when you don't know why it hasn't been driven.......
