Stunning design, possible slight concern about the interior 'fullness', a Cosworth V8. What more can you want?
TVR is back with Cosworth power and Gordon Murray Design | Evo
I want it. But probably not as much as Gaz. I guess he was too busy booking himself 10 billion hours of overtime to buy...
Sort of SuperTuscan. One of the last models built before the demise, powered by either a 4.0 Speed 6 with 400bhp, 4.2 with 440bhp or a supercharged 4.2 with 585bhp. Sadly there are only two road legal examples in existence
at least alfa owners understand.
when I bought my GT 4 years ago nearly everybody said, oh they go rusty/breakdown etc.
The same reaction I'm getting to the TVR. But it's great
Couple of interesting reads on Pistonheads in the last day or so
Looks like Smolensky is selling/sold to a British party. I would link the stories but it brings up the mobile site
Come back TVR. Love them or hate them, there's always a space for them
So on sunday i was stuck behind an old duffer in a xsara on a good local road.....I was waiting in third and when i had space booted it past at 5000rpm or more, because i have a great sounding oem box i was thrilled to see at least 10 people at a tvr meet in the local airfield all turn there...
I kind of forgot about this car for the last few years then it happened to jump into my mind this evening. I've had a gander round the web to see what happened to this beast and it's a bit of a sad story really. They seemed so close to producing something truly special here but simply too much...
TVR, I was wondering if you ever posted a pic of a custom carb intake for a Nord anywhere on the Net ( I think it might have been carforums.co.za). I can't find the page now so I'm desperately hoping it's you and that you have one for sale?
Hey all, if anyone is looking for some 100% prime British meat, i have just put my 5l Chimaera for sale in the classifieds.
His name is Wilberforce and after 5 years and 20,000 he still scares the living crap out of me !
Rather gutted actually, but my funds have dried up and i'm getting funny...
This time we have another British car, and this one is from a company that's made really bonker cars. This one is a bit more refined, but still no ABS, no traction control and it still requires a careful driver. It uses the Speed 6 engine.
Engine: Aluminum I6
Displacement: 3,996 cc
Seen this on Pistonheads:
TVR : 4.2 Cerbera - Nebula Dusk
That's ALOT of car for the money,
360BHP if I remember right, in a car that weighs about a tonne, that comes with electric everything and remote central locking, and full TVRSH... Wow.
0-60 is about 4 seconds or so, 0-100MPH...
We're in England again this time.
Engine: All-aluminium TVR Speed Six straight six engine with 4 valves per cylinder and double overhead camshafts
Displacement: 3996 cc
Maximum power: 380 bhp @ 7,000–7,500rpm
Maximum torque: 349 ft lbs @ 5,000 rpm
Maximum rpm: 7,800 rpm
0 to 60 mph: 3.7...
Just added this to run along side my GTA, very different cars but they are very similar in some aspects.
She is a 2004 Tvr Cerbera 4.5/4.2 AJP V8, Full black leather, Aps all round, black alcantara headlining etc...Bit hairy in the wet weather but fantastic fun all the same :)
Over the moon...
Right then Team,
Here's a question for you; If you had to run, own and drive either a 1999 Honda S2000 or a 1996 TVR Chimaera 4.0 which would it be?
Both have the same amount of horses; 240BHP
Top Speed wise the TVR takes the S2K by 2MPH by reaching 152MPH.
0-60MPH shows a second difference...
