  4. Introduce Yourself
Hi all, nice to meet you. I've always loved my Alfas and have had them most of my adult life. I kept a 156 and then a GT for a long time. After a short break with a 350Z, I'm now back home with Alfa. I pick up a new Gulia Speciale tomorrow afternoon. Never had a new car before, but the Giulia...
  5. Alfa Giulia
I have a small problem ! I’m signing the contract on a pch deal tomorrow for a Giulia Veloce. I’ve just realised when driving onto my driveway how there isn’t much ground clearance (2”) between the pavement and the bottom of my 2016 Audi s3. I’m worried with the extra 20cm wheel base on the...
  6. Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Got the Meyle HD ones as replacements. I'm going to need to get the angle grinder out, aren't I? BTW, when I was doing the shocks I noticed the exhaust was pretty much rusted through. Any recommendations for replacement? Not looking for SS performance, just a straight swap.
  7. Alfa GTA
Hi all, Waxed and buffed my GTA and heading over to Brooklands tomorrow. Will there be a GTA area for me to park?
  8. The Classic Alfa Romeos
I've just given the Spider a wipe over ready for tomorrow and noticied the right side repeater is missing, random as I can't see how in could have just fallen off and I haven't left it unattended anywhere for a while, perfect timing for tomorrow! Anyway mines the white Spider with the bit...

  10. Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Hi, Tomorrow I'm going to AHM Alfacare for a remap to my 156 1.9 JTDM 150bhp. They'll also do a Egr delete. I know that tomorrow I'll know this info, but I would like also to compare against people who have the same car as me and have done a remap. When booking I was told the bhp gain (+35 to...
  11. General Motoring Discussion
No you Jokers, it isn't a day chock-full of Heathrow and Gatwick return runs. :biglaugh: Instead, we're off to a hoity-toity MB event at Brooklands, meeting a load of other Mercs as well as a gathering of 190s. To prepare the Taxi for such a grand event, today I pumped up the tyres, emptied the...
  12. Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Hi all, I am due to buy a used 147 tomorrow, and a couple of questions that I'm hoping you kind souls could help me out with! There are lots of ads on donedeal and I'm wondering if there's much difference between the '05 and '07 models as that's the ones i'll be looking at. Also I read...

  14. Alfa GTA
Ill be selling a set of jet fins with tyres tomorrow. I tried to upload photos from my phone but it all went wrong so will do in the morning on pc at work. Tyres are all very good. Two are sport contact 5 and the other two are sport contact 3. The two wheels with the sc5 have slight kerbing (im...

Siete pronti? - Sta Per Arrivare... - Novità - Quattroruote.it I wonder what it is:-)
  16. Alfa 164 & 166
Right. I'm taking Mick 164's advice from the other thread and trying to ignite a bit of interest. So wish me luck as I'm taking the old shed for its MOT tomorrow. I spent last weekend reconstructing the rear jacking points, so I know it's sound underneath. All the lights work. The brakes...
  17. Car Detailing
Evening! I do like washing my car but never been overly clued up. Had a read of SR's how to and think I am ready challenge the GT. I have got AG pressure washer shampoo, Simoniz Wax free shampoo, a meguiars clay bar, AG rapid detailer, AG deep shine polish, AG tyre dressing and simoniz wax...
  18. Alfa 147, 156 & GT
    Wish the 147 some luck!
  19. South Africa
So tomorrow my 4C will get new front shocks, bigger battery and new gearbox mapping (sad about this one as the European guys are saying there is less gear change "barks" when you shift gears after the new map is loaded). Anyways glad the tram lining issues will be addressed
  20. Alfa Giulietta
....so what should I look out for? its a 2011 , 30k miles, with fsh. Did earlier cars have gearbox issues ? Are they thirsty , like some 159 tbi owners have reported? ( in a much heavier car admittedly) . Can the engines be re-mapped ok? Any help gratefully received
