After many years of getting round to owning an Alfa, I finally made the plunge with a nice 2008 159 in black. It needed a thorough clean and after a weekends elbow grease she looking splendid. Just have a niggle to sort out with the demister not working. The vents on the top of the dash close to...
My late Dad’s old 75 TS LE has been off the road for quite a few years after an MOT failure, rust at the back end due to a leak in the boot.
It used to start and run fine but the starter motor has gone, it was on the way out for a while. I have a replacement starter and would like...
Well, after only 11 months and 5000 miles of careful driving, my near side upper arm (TRW) has failed again, omitting a god awful creak. Thankfully the item is being replaced under warranty.
The offside (also TRW) has covered 12000 miles and is also well on its way and needs to be changed...

Well, I’m 6months into being an Alfa owner, and against all reason and logic I’m loving it. In the short time I’ve had the cloverleaf it’s needed a new radiator, had a windscreen washer failure and repair (by me), and a weird engine failure light which went off after a day and hasn’t...
the current ECU in my 166 (0261207399) has been repaired however the CODE funtion wont allow the car to run.
It has new software in it and all other warning lights and error codes are gone.
To explain, i'm hunting for a new daily driver soon, MINI Cooper S, supercharged one.
Now, i'm fine looking over bodywork having worked in the motor trade in the past, especially as i can usually spot a respray or filler a mile off due to the sloppy standards most bodyshops operate to.

Bought 166 (2.5 Sportronic, Odyssey Blue) as my first proper motor last weekend and have never been so happy.
Got him fairly cheap as a few niggles here and there plus belts due but that's half the fun isn't it, however yesterday did my first proper trip in the Alfa and hit my...
My heater didnt work, and a quick inspection showed why. Rather than replace it, someone has bypassed the heater with a manufactured elbow and cut one heater hose short to make it work.
I had a hell of a time stripping the aircon and fan box out of the car, even after reading all I could...
I'm new here. I've been lurking around for quite some time but never really thought about registering until today.
I don't own an Alfa... yet! That might change very soon. I did an internship in a classic alfa workshop a couple of years ago as part of my engineering degree. I'm a big...

After an ultimately unsuccessful attempt to have the rusting front wings on my GTA repaired a couple of years ago, I've now bitten the bullet and bought a new pair from Italia Ricambi.
I'm having the new wings fitted and a full respray and wondered if anyone has any hints or suggestions...
