I've put a months worth of this stuff in my 150 MA Sprint, she picks up as cleanly & goes faster than the 'posh' Shell petrol I normally use, the consumption is a little worse but the fuel is cheaper.
Has anyone else used this fuel for longer than I have & have there been any ill effects?
If anyone id thinking of changing the oil is the "old GTV or spider" just been in my local Tesco (Swindon branch) and they got Castrol Edge 5w40 4ltr for £25. it normally around £38-40 mark for the edge oil , anyway thought you all might like to know.
Oh dear what have I done :(
On my way home from work I popped into Tesco at Saffrom Walden and filled up the 156 JTS.
Less than half a mile from the fill up the car started to seriously missfire, and has continued to do so. The missfire causes the ECU engine alarm, which it records as a...
Aftynoon Mito friends,
Whilst i am a petrol snob and have been using Shell V-Power for months now, i filled up with Tesco Momentum 99 yesterday (mainly due to nowhere near a Shell at the time)
I now can't help feeling that the Tesco 99 pulls a lot faster than the V-Power in the 155TB.
His guys, a Tesco van has just reversed into my 159. Nothing major but there is a few bad scratches. There were a few pieces of plastic underneath the car, and also a piece of black foam material. The bumper feels very sturdy still, was just wondering if it's worth going through their insurance...
But not Alfa's, apparently, not even in the drop down menu. In fact Carcraft are the same. Why?
Should we be suing them for product bias and discrimination or just not buy any stuff off them in protest. We should stand up for our rights, protest at your local store I say.:lol:
When in need of new wiper blades I've usually gone for the genuine article on previous cars and being 'in the trade' had a substantial discount on what can be an expensive consumable/service item.
Out of curiosity I had a browse thru the catalogue attached to the shelf in my local Halfords...
Has anyone fitted tesco flat wiper blades to the front windscreen on a 33?
In the past i have fitted standard bosch blades and have tried with spoilers to prevent lifting.
I went back to standard alfa romeo ones as all others are...
Popped into to tesco today and noticed they have some new additions to the 9 piece set we all got a while back. Firstly a 5 pack o MF cloths for £2 which seem decent and an alternative to the poundland ones which are impossible to get.
Then theres various takes on parts of the 9 piece set...
Would just first like to say a big hello to the GTA forum (Intro Hello => http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/introduce-yourself/178979-my-first-alfa-156-gta.html). I just bought a 156 GTA and would like to know if anyone regularly uses Tesco's super unleaded / Tesco 99 Octane.
I think it's...
My Brera's warranty ends on 28 April 09 so I am looking around for an extension.
From what you fellas have written on previous threads I understand that CCP provides all warranties but I have been quoted 'around' £350 by Alfa, £250 by Tesco, but only £148 ( with 10% on line discount ) from CSMA...
Anyone experiance this ? Used the 5p off voucher to fill my 147 JTDM resulting in sluggish perfomance and juddering when accelerating in lower gears..10 squids of BP ultimate after the tesco crap had burnt off and the difference was very noiticeable..
its cheap..but you get what you pay for
OK so you would n't put their oil in your car, but as the owner of an 8 year old relatively complex and inherently fragile Spider it seems to me that Tesco's comprehensive warranty of £339 per annum covering parts and labour seems like a good deal to avoid any major scary bills.
Anyone got any...
