Hi All, Completed my clutch damper delete mod at the weekend and it instantly gave me a perfect clutch pedal. First time I have had such a thing since I got the car, Massive improvement in consistency, feel and smoothness. However, I am still somehow getting air in the system?? It seems to...

Good evening all. I know there are many posts on 159 parking sensors but has anyone had experience of them playing up due to temperature change? Mine have played up for about three years in cold weather, but as soon as the ambient temperature hits around 25C, they start working again, with no...

Anyone else get loud squeaks after their 147 (or indeed any car) has been parked in the sun for a few hours? It seems to come from the boot or maybe a bit lower. Nothing wrong really but it's annoying and makes the car sound like it's in some disrepair. Any pressure points that could be oiled?

Been plagued with EML on code P0401 / force reset every few days during the summer , now that normal temperatures have resumed with fresh clean air it's went off itself and stayed off ! Anyone got a scientific explanation?

Very sure this isn't the headgasket, no gunk, no power loss and i can see a leak but i can't identify where it is coming from. Had a very scary moment today driving dow a local dual carriage way and noticed the temperature rising, not quickly but i could see it. Pulled into a layby and the...

Hello guys! I've read about steering pump whining, about fluids and all, but non of the topics gives answer to my worries. I had very slight steering wheel juddering on low revs from the moment I bought the car. I said to my self, what the hell, i will drive it until it worsens and it was not...

Mix a gallon of petrol in a tank to diesel to prevent it waxing up? I seem to remember that this would work in the past, however with the modern common rail systems, emissions control and sensors everywhere can this still be done? Was going to put a fiver of petrol in the tank just as a...

Only noticed today whilst doing 70 ish ! on the motorway that my temperature gauge goes up to approx 100 degrees from the usual 90 degrees, once i return to legal speeds it drops back to 90 again , no problems with overheating at all and no problems when sitting in traffic, probabaly just me...

Has anybody tried Redlines Wetter Water or similar additives to help with coolant temperature/heat transfer? Sounds interesting especially since my car tends to reach max temp after 5 laps on a slow circuit like mondello thats doesn't allow the...

At normal travelling the temperature sits around 80 - 90 , but then in traffic,eg. town and idle it climbs to around 97-98 and the fan controls this back to 94 and so on does this tell me that the stat does not open enough? It does look like its a bit hot at idle?

i fitted an exhaust manifold heat wrap and it really seems to do its job! at slow speeds the temp averages around 40C, when cruising holds a steady 60C and only when really pushing it will it just hit 80C. (this was after 7 constant second gear laps around a go-kart track :) ) So if your ts is...

  19. Alfa 33, Sud & Sprint
As the title says the stock 33 1.7QV engine of my Sud loses a noticeable amount of power when the outside temperature is over 25 degrees Celsius or in humid days. Of course this is expected because of the thinner air going through the intake under these conditions but i was wandering if there is...

Chaps I've noticed lately, now that summer has arrived, that my 156 V6 seems to have less pulling power at higher revs whenever the outside air temperature is above ~25 degrees. Take yesterday afternoon - went for a 45 mile drive and it was 27 degrees in Manchester (yeah I know) . On the...
