  6. Torque Steer

    General Motoring Discussion
I've noticed quite a bit of torque steer on the ol' Fiat Renegade a couple of times when a solid booting is required. Is there any way to mitigate the effect? (Apart from being less aggressive with the throttle.)

  12. Steer clear or bargain down

    South Africa
This ad says the car is in excellent condition but it's got a TS bumper fitted to it. This leads me to believe it's been in an accident. That's fine as long as the chassis is in good nick but his price is way too high when taking that into account...(i should know) Apparently it's got a...

  16. Torque Steer

    Alfa GTV & 916 Spider
I had 2 people in my car yesterday for the first time and I was really surprised how heavy the car felt with 2 extra people in it. Normally with me and my gf who is tiny anyway you cant notice any difference in performance. But yesterday with 2 different normal sized adults the car felt like...
  17. Should I steer clear? Objective advice needed...

    Alfa GTA
Went to see a black GTA today, which looked lovely and shiny in the photos. However, the reality was somewhat different - been parked for months and was dirty and mildewy, missing jacking point covers, interior a right mess; tobacco everywhere and dirty with the obligatory knackered drivers seat...
  18. Worth a punt or steer clear and go original?

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
I need to replace the driverside upper wishbone on my 156 and was searching around for parts when I stumbled upon a full kit including lower and antiroll. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261055454654?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 I'd obviously want to change both sides and don't...
  19. QV Torque Steer

    Alfa MiTo
I was accelerating pretty quickly in 2nd/3rd gear around 4500rpm yesteday evening and had a heart-in-mouth moment :wow: when my beautiful QV decided to veer to the right - I'm guessing this was a nasty example of torque steering - has anyone else had a similar problem? Only other thing could be...
  20. Reducing under steer.

    Tuning & Upgrades
I decided that it is time to get opinions concerning methods of reducing under steer on our FWD Alfas. Primarily for track days’ but it will obviously make the car safer for normal circumstances as well. Apart from the obvious harder coils better shocks and stiffer rear antiroll bar suggestions...
