Been looking at a recent increase in those yellow signs warning of impending roadworks and their choice of words for how long they are to last.
They try to fool us with saying that the works will last "X no of weeks".
Not too bad you think as you drive passed only 52 weeks.
Had my Giulia Veloce for a year now and I’m seeing in the below order.
1: Check Parking or electronic break
2: ABS unavailable
3: AST unavailable
4: ESC unavailable
5: Hill Hold Control unavailable
And then it starts from 1 again ?
I also have collision warning and lane departure failure...
Hi all, any warning signs to look out for to predict the need to replace the timing belt / water pump in my GT? Basically no evidence of when it was last performed (if ever - 2004 car) so each time i drive it i worry about it. Thing is i may only keep the car for another 4-6 months before i move...
Back again another engine problem. My 02 Alfa 147 2.0 ts 90k on clock has me scratching my head now it is off the road for winter at the moment but during changing oil before takeing it off the road there was no coolant in the expansion bottle now I know it was at minimum at 89k and there was...
... that the 156s might be increasing in value?
Alfa Romeo 156 SPORTWAGON 2.0JTS Veloce 5dr
Alfa Romeo 156 SPORTWAGON 5-DOOR 1.9 JTD Veloce 5dr
All cars, even Alfas, bottom out sooner or later. Based on these prices mine is worth around £2k.
I'm trying to justify buying a Quaife Diff for my GTA. :cheese: Its about the only improvement I'd like to make to this car.
What, if any, are the pre-warning signs of possible diff failure?
Is it an item that 'just goes' OR does it need to receive cruel hardship before it does expire...
apart from the obvious engine temperature going above normal would there be any other signs the thermo is on its way out? turned on the 33 this morning and heard a strange ticking or light tapping sound, thought it was leprechauns dancing in the engine block until my mechanic friend said that...
Car in question is a 156 1.9JTDm 16V. And now for the issue. I've noticed over the past week or so I can hear the turbo alot more. The sound is akin to police sirens in the distance. In higher gears at speed the car does seem to have less grunt as well. Could this be...
After putting putting up with the rattling for the last 12 months i'm finally goin to roll my sleves up and tackle the anti roll bar.
Im just wondering are there any signs of wear in the steering rack that i should be looking for??.
Just to determine weather its worth changing too.
I think my Dampers are on their way out. I don't have any leaks but i have noticed the car is getting very bouncy on farm lanes (i have to drive up one every few days or so :( ) and very harsh on dips in the road.
At the moment i only have 2 known issues with my suspension: The Passenger...
Hi folks, I've finally got my GT JTD back together after a diff failure, new clutch and dual mass flywheel. One of the planet gears in the standard diff broke up, the bits got tangled up in the crownwheel and forced their way through the bellhousing. I've fitted a Q2 diff in place of the...
I've never understood why so many Twinsparks get destroyed by cam belt failure. Having driven a 146 upto 160,000+ miles and always changed the belt at 72K, I thought it must be due to abuse.
I've now got a 2 year old 156 Twinspark now (imported and probably built 2004) and its done 45,000m...
After many years I have finally got my hands on my first Alfa; a 3.2 Brera Q4 Q-Tronic from Mangolesti, undriven and unseen..impulsive or what.
Autodelta remap or Mangolesti engine mod
So I will be looking for lots of advice
Previously ran a Mitsubishi...
