Regular readers may recall that some time ago I fitted my 147 TS with a muchly modified shifter mechanism sourced from a Honda Accord (replacing the worn and somewhat vague anyway standard Alfa shifter). Recently I started to notice that this shifter had started to lose some of its' precision...

When putting the shifter in Sport, the signals from the shifter, to activate shifting up/down is electrical, right? And if so, it should be fairly easy to add switches that activate shifting from the steering wheel, right?

Hi Guys, I've recently bought a 2008 2.4 Brera in Misano Blue, since purchasing I've replaced the battery, power steering reservoir and fluid, upper wishbones swapped out, Eibach lowering springs and upgraded the original alloys for a nice set of of new 18's, had her re-mapped and just...

As above....this is one of the ones I'm looking at: - Novitec Sport Shifter Schaltwegverkürzung - Alfa Romeo Shop - Tuning, Styling, Fanartikel und Modellautos If you do use one how does it feel? My 159 (F40 box) has quite a ponderous gear change compared to my old Merc CLK....thought this...

Hi all, considering purchasing a short shifter for my brera. Just posting to ask anyone that has did this before: How easy was it? Was the change noticeable? Would you recommend it?

Has anyone fitted one of these, is the outlay worth the effort? Cost is £135.00 not sure what it would be like to fit but doesn't look that difficult??

The little bit that seals around my shaft dropped inside the housing somehow. I lived with it for a bit but it moved somehow and started jamming the shift. I popped the housing up and fished it back above the siding bit as you can see and its held up with a hair band which, as those with...

So far this has been intermittent, but no more. Still seems minor though. It's a bit hard to get it into 4th (5-speed) and harder still to get out of fourth. Other gears are fine, no grinding, vibration, or anything, and the stick centers fine when out of gear. Think just lubing will do the...

Would it be worth to put that on Alfa 147 1.6 - TS-Shift Short Shifter Kit for Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Lancia - MTech Short Shifters
  20. Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Hi All, I recently had an MTech short shifter bracket fitted to my GT Clover 1.9 JTD and am now seriously thinking of having same removed due to really notchy and stiff gear changes, particularly in 2nd and worse when engine cold. I replaced gear box oil - no improvement.:weeping: This is a...
