Last few days the 166 seems to drive on a lower gear on auto, given the same speed, the engine runs at a 1000 revs faster. i.e. at 80mph its running at 4000 rpm instead of 3000. Something is obviously not right, any ideas what?

Hello its me again, just a general query about the revs on my car. I have noticed sometimes at idle the revs can blip a bit higher and then drop back down. so its revving at 0.75 and then will go closer to 1 and then drop again. It has a lumpy idle which is a JTS thing (I actually like it lol)...
