Hi everyone! I'm planning to remove my steering wheel on the weekend, to get it re-wrapped, because it got some chips, even the car deserves some Christmas gifts, right? :D My question is, how do I remove the wheel? I've found this amazing guide for a pre-facelift, is it the same for facelift...

Right, completely perplexed as to getting the rear seats out. The upright portions. I can see the four allen bolts holding the centre hinge section in, but buggered if I can get at them to remove. Is there some special late night ritual I have to perform for a trancindental porthole to open...

Here is a guide on how to remove the rear bumper on alfa 159 saloons. Removing the bumper allows access to parking sensors/wiring and wiring for the plate lights. Unless something is stuck, I estimate this to take around one hour. I know Chris did a fantastic guide for the SW, so I'll link...

Hi all, someone is coming to buy the 147 on Saturday, so I thought it would be a good idea to give it a full service prior to sale, including replacing all 8 spark plugs. Unfortunately it hasn't gone to plan, the small spark plug on cylinder 1 had rusted, and the coil pack was completely stuck...

Hi there, I'm looking for the part no for the plastic tool that comes with the car to remove the cap of the front indicator bulb holder. It looks like a mini wrench with a star drive end. All black plastic.(mine was missing when I acquired the car). It is usually found in the user manual wallet...

So I am planning on getting the engine pulled on my 159 Q4 Sportwagon (56 Plate). Plan is to do the timing chain and oil temperature gauge at the same time. Clutch was done less than 6k ago so I wont do that. Is there anything else to do whilst the engine is out? Also 3 Q's: is the Mace AU...

Evening, I’m stripping my engine bay to get to my timing chains, with the engine still in. Got down to the crankshaft pulley and finding it really hard to get off using a 3 arm puller after removing the crankshaft bolt. Has anyone got any ideas on how to get the pulley off? Also, I removed...

Changed the alternator on my GT jtdm yesterday. I had a quick look on here before starting the job but I couldn't find much info. I took the alternator out from the top. As per Elearn. So It can be done. Would I do it that way again? No way. On a positive note the bleeding has stopped and my...

What's the easiest way to remove and refit the turbo on a 1.4 Multiair? Just by undoing the four bolts on the flange and oil/coolant feed, or via removing the whole exhaust manifold?

Hey. It's variator o'clock over here, and just wondering if anyone has the most suitable method for removing the variator from the camshaft. Some people say to use the cam locking tools with the longer bolts to hold it whilst you unscrew the variator with that funny tool, but some say to remove...

Hi everyone, I've recently joined this forum as my partner has a Giulietta. She currently has a problem which looks like the throttle pedal needs replacing. Is there any manuals/instructions that cover this? ... the ones I've seen don't touch on this kind of maintenance. Thanks Chris

I haven't found any real confirmation that the oil pan on 3.0 12V 164 would be removable while engine in place. I took a look under the car and it sure looks plausible, has somebody tried to remove it?
