Been holding out and it's finally arrived again. Groupon ATS offer £29.95 for an AC recharge, usually £50-60 in most places round my way. Had ATS do my recharge several times and never had any bother in fact it has always been a-ok, they refund if the system won't hold the gas as well.
Anyone used one of the recharge can kits, like this:
Good idea or not?
I got my air con recharged 2 weeks ago and now it's not working at all. It just blows hot air. All the fans work OK and the lights and buttons operate as normal. It wasn't great before but it would still cool the cabin. Now it just blows air at the ambient temperature - which is bloody hot at...
Could do with getting the aircon 'Topped up' on my 156 2.5 V6, as its not quite as cold as it used to be.
Saw on the Halfrauds website all the kit to do it and even a video how to. always thought it was a specialist job.
theres 2 pipes on the offside near the inner wing with the valves to do...
Usually (on a normal car) I would remove the battery and charge it up.
But, why O' why did Alfa engineers go to the Terry [email protected] School of "lets stick the battery where no Fkkkker can get to it!" and if you've got a Spider you have a nice, easy access hatch.
There is no damn...
Off to Italy tomorrow and decided that the aircon wasn't quite as cold as it could be. I have had the car two years and never charged it and I bet it hadn't been done for a while before that.
Monday Quickfit was open so took the car in. After 40 minutes the answer came its got a leak and we...
Can anyone shed some light/insight/make suggestions on my 156 sounding it's alarm constantly please? It's very ummm loud and furrowing the brows of my neighbours!
It's a 2003 156 2.0 JTS. The car has been having a sabbatical and sat unused for about 3 months during which time I fitted a...
I've had my alfa 147 for 3 years this summer and i've noticed that the air con isn't as cool as it used to be and there is also a slightly minging smell when you turn the air con on but it seems to go away after a short while running, but it isn't as ice cold as it used to be.
I have bought a Jump Starter at Maplins at £25, how ever it is too weak to start my 2.0 Twin Spark engine.
However I thought, if you connect the Jump Starter to the battery an recharge the Jump Starter by connecting to the mains 230 V. It should recharge the Car Battery.
As the only option I...
I have spent some time this morning with my bella and I have spoted that on my battery the life light has changed from GREEN to BLACK what says on the instruction "need a recharge". If I take the battery out let say for a whole night, do I need to worry about any problems after...
My compressor seems to be trying, but, the air from the aircon is anything but cold.
So.... Got a diy recharge kit from Halfords.
Where is the point that I need to connect to? Done it before on a couple of other cars, so, happy to try it - however, need to make sure I find the right port as I...

Had a problem with Clutch before Christmas.
Whilst changing gear , Clutch stuck down for approx 20 seconds, then popped back up but with a strong vibration felt through clutch.

I was wondering if anybody could tell me which of these is the low pressure recharge valve?..the workshop manual I have shows them in a completely different place. The only clue it gives is that the low pressure valve seems to have a smaller cap, which would make it valve B?
It's a '99...
