Got mine Friday morning. Ref: Alfa Romeo Recal/update 8242. Incorrect Fuel Level Reading on Instrument Panel.
Quite surprised, as it says they are worried (it is a safety issue apparently) that the car could report more fuel than is actually in the tank. In the last 8k miles, I'd say mine is...
From USA forum, Macgeek :
Published today, for incorrect fuel level readings in specific conditions.
The specific conditions include being parked on a grade of more than 10 degrees, staying in that position for a long enough period of time (approx. 30 minutes), and having a tank filled between...
This makes absolutely no sense to me.
I don't doubt that there is a problem and it needs to be recalled, but I have have serious qualms that the cause is what the company says it is.
Recall for Stelvio Tailgate
Second Recall for the Stelvio
Seems a lot of Giulia owners have also suffered water ingress but into the front ECU
How many of you have now had the updates, and how many are experiencing issues?
A person I know had their updates done a couple of weeks ago and since then has suffered fairly severe shuddering of the engine under load around 2000-2500rpm.
He's had a couple of CELs too.
My car is due to go...
Anyone else with a newer G get a letter this week from Alfa Romeo urging you to make an appointment to have a new software update for engine management.
Looks like it is for 1.6 multijet diesel euro 6 engines only, which puzzles me as the letter says my car is effected, but I have a 2 litre...
Has anyone experienced the same effect after the Mito 850cc had a recall for assistance with cold starting. It used to splutter until a poke on the accelerate when starting. Nothing too bad, unless you started from outside the car and then it might stall.
Anyway back to the real part of...

Fiat Chrysler faces record fine over recalls, must offer to buy back 500,000 Ram pickup trucks | Fox News
You know, for a car known to be a pain in the neck, Alfa Romeo has never been fined, at least not to my recollection, to levels seen by manufcturers that make "reliable" cars that are...
4Cs are being recalled in Europe and will probably rolled out to SA pretty soon.
New gearbox and engine mapping and cruise control update. And a new set of front shock absorbers. This is to address the massive tram lining issues.
Cant wait to try a before and after.
I received a recall letter today all the way from Turin. It's like no other recall letter I have ever received from any other car manufacturer. It seems 4C owners are 'special' customers after all!
I'll try to post a copy.
got a notification in the mailbox yesterday that there was a recorded mail for me. Figured I forgot to make a payment or so, but it was a letter from FCA.
2.0 JTDM with TCT apparently could damage the wiring loom for the TCT by rubbing against the DPF. Must be pretty serious as it's recorded...
