I've read that you can't fit roof rails to a sportswagon which didn't have them from the factory due to body strength issues.
I'm currently stripping a sportswagon which has roof rails and can see all the internal structure but i can't see any added strength which i suspect wouldn't be there on...
Having discovered none of it can be used with the rails in my Stelvio, I'm offering this for sale.
It's quite heavy as its a carpeted 10mm thick board with aluminium rails set into it and the organiser that slides along them to stop stuff moving around in the boot. Especially reassuring when you...
Does anybody have these on their Stelvio?
I had the system in my Giulietta , which included a new boot floor to house the rails. Having kept the system when trading in the Giulietta I'm wondering if the rails are the same?
That way I can buy the Stelvio rails and reuse the divider and strap...
I have just bought a 159 Ti Sportwagon and iv'e got to say im absolutely loving it after previously having a GT.
I am after some roof rails to buy and to be fitted as we go camping alot and need my top box but i am really struggling - anyone have any ideas please?
I have just had a look at my 166 fuel lines.
The LH one shown in the photo, that goes to the rear rail
looks to be on the way out. I have checked on eper but can not find a part number. What hose
should I source to replace this? The only identification I can find is DAYCO and lots of...
i have a bit of a small problem.
i have a mid 70's Gtv 6, 2.5l one. the chassis rails are a bit rusted through and i would like to turn the car into a track car so i need to do something to repair them.
i suspect tat replacing them isnt really an option (unless it is??) would they be...
I have a 159 SW with roof rails which are looking very tired and letting the side down so was looking to get them re-coated, so need to get them off. I'm sure I saw a post on here ages ago with photos showing how to take them off (I believe they can be removed from the top by clipping...
MY roofrails are looking a bit tired so I'd like to get them restored or powder coated or something.
I understnad they are held on from above with torx bolts (i saw a thread from a few years ago) which seems pretty simply....however,how do you go about removing the end and supporting...
I want to remove and clean the brass coloured rails on top of the V6 engine (guess they're fuel delivery) Can they be dis-connected without fuel peeing out everywhere? I guess there will be residual pressure in the system? When re-connected will any air in the system be cleared automatically...
I've a set of roof rails for a 156 left over, with a key. They are silver in colour and genuine Alfa parts. No idea what they are worth but if anyone wants them and is prepared to collect from Hythe make me an offer.
Can anyone tell me - are the fuel rails on a 3.0 V6 the same as the fuel rails on a 3.2 V6?
If there is any difference are they still interchangeable..
While were are at it same question on the cam covers between the two engines...
Many thanks, Tom
Just had a lucky find, these came with my car but Ive no need for them so stuck them on ebay.
If I had roof rails I would probably fit them as they are immaculate! Im led to believe they are tricky to find new these days?
This isnt a ploy to advertise shamefully, just if they are rare, I...
How do I safely remove the fuel rails from the engine without getting squirted with fuel, or even worse breaking something? I have no idea here, anything in Noddy language appreciated. (Last car I played with fueling on had carbs)

The lacquer is peeling off the roof rails on our 156. I can get a load off with my fingernail, but it's a somewhat laborious way of getting it all off.....
One or two people suggest sanding the lacquer off. Would I use normal sandpaper for this, emery paper, or something else? I...
