Just had the above off the car and refurbished and about to reinstall. Has anyone got access to eLearn and can check the bolt torque requirements for me please?

Has anyone had the propshaft replaced on their Q4? Seems like the centre bearing on mine has gone. Alfa is charging around R20000 (excl VAT) for the propshaft. Any other options? I’m in Cape Town area.
OK, so it's fixed! FOR GOOD! I had the propshaft removed on my 2010 Brera Q4 and had the bearing fixed.
As per the experience of others on the forum, i was unable to find a driveshaft specialist that could just replace the bearing (despite going to 3 different workshops).
hi has anybody succesfully repaired a q4 prop .mine has failed again on the bearing bush .fiat want over 2k for a new one .why they made it a sealed unit is a **** take .bmw /jaguar / merc props can all be serviced
hi any other q4 owners had problems with the propshaft on their car? mine sometimes rattles on the bottom of the car only when moving off .been told its a worn bush.problem is fiat don't sell the bushes they want you to buy the whole shaft at £2000 bloody ****take surely theres somebody out...
Just wanted to post my current experience and how Autolusso came to my rescue...again! Loud knocking on acceleration, local gearbox centre found failure of propshaft, hanging on by a mount. Alfa dealer quoted £2100 with vat for a new part only, I said no but the centre couldn't source one from...
does anyone know how to remove the bit that locates the prop in the hole in the flywheel please.
its like a small cup with a spring and circlip in it and is on the end of the propshaft this bit goes in the hole in the flywheel
i have removed the circlip and spring and its trapped by the...
I cannot get the prop shaft off the fingers at the front, seems well and truly stuck.
So far I have oiled the holes, tried knocking it with a lump hammer and prising it with a screwdriver to no avail, there is so little room to get any purchase on it, came out easy enough last week and its the...
Put doughnut on this afternoon. Have done this several times before but many years ago.
Shouldn’t take long.
This new doughnut with the steel band round the outside should make fitting easy!
First fit onto the three gearbox bolts, I pushed, shoved and wriggled, would not fit, tapped, would...
Getting spider ready for MOT.
While having a good look round I noticed the propshaft doughnut was cracked three quarters of the way through. No problem as have changed several before.
Removed old one quickly this morning and new one has just arrived in post.
The new one has a steel...
The front prop bearing is stuck in my alfa 75 flywheel and suggestions on how best to free it. of have I just missed an obvoius step. i have undone the 3 flywheel bolts and the 3 donut bolts. the splined section slides freely as does the donut. prop is not moving??
I'm building a fun/trackday 75 3.0v6. What a fantastic car it is already :inlove: I've been sorting a few things and am now onto this problem:
When pulling away enthusiastically/hardish cornering/speed bumps and decelleration the propshaft is catching on the tunnel. I can't see where...
MY alfa 75's propshaft makes a noise and vibration coming on the gearbox when the car revs high or going faster. i guess it the dougnut that could be worn? does these cars have universe joint on the proshaft? Hope someone on this website can help me out. cheers
Jamie, I assumed the rubber in the rubber donuts helped to absorb/dampen the vibrations? I would guess that metal replacements would exacerbate any vibrations? Might be ok for racing, but might be a bit too harsh for every day road use? I could be wrong of course.
I'm after a bit of advice..
Whad mods can be done to the propshaft on a Q4.. I've spoken to a few slightly more race\rally orientated mates & they have suggested lightening & balancing the shaft? I guess this would ideally be done along with the flywheel & clutch plate.
What do you think...
