  1. No dials working and pretty much all warning lights on.. No Joke..

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Just started the car (2005 GT JTDm) which had been driving fine earlier today, and there is virtually no dials (rev, speedo, fuel and temp), of buttons working and most warning lights are on. Fuel light flashing. Disconnected battery and it reset itself and even the airbag light was off (bonus)...
  2. So pretty....

    Alfa 75, RZ, SZ
White Alfa 75 with bodykit on Ebay, very pretty indeed http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/263171274209 First time I've seen one and gone 'wow', other than for it's drivetrain...
  3. 156, 1.9jtdm 16v - Pretty big shake when stopping the engine plus other error codes

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
06 plates, 82k miles I've replaced the timing belt(full kit with rollers and pretensioners) and drove it maybe 3 times and the clutch failed. One of the bearing metal ears that holds the fork (stupid design). So now the car has a new clutch( full kit with dual mass flywheel) and new slave...
  4. [Fix] ICS sticky knobs. Pretty and permanent solution!

    Alfa 164 & 166
They started to get sticky after the hot summer, one was much worse, the rubber was like chewing gum, you could literally get a bit and chew it up  So I started to find a decent solution. Didn't want a cheap and ugly plastic knob! After a lot of searching on ebay, I found these: 2 pcs...
  5. P0191 code but car runs pretty well

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Hi. My GT 1.9 is throwing a p0191 code, issue with the fuel rail pressure. Not sure what is going on though as the car will run fine if I clear the code until I accelerate hard for a period of time. The code will then come back. When the code is on, acceleration in the first few gears is fine...
  6. Pretty good deal

    Alfa GTV & 916 Spider
So I think I got a great deal. Autodelta hardtop No.120 for my Spider for €380 (£300). I tried to arrange to get it delivered to Dublin from Scotland but given the awkward shape of the hood is was proving to be a bit messy. The solution was to book a day return trip on the ferry for me and...
  7. Is it me or are the dipped beam headlights on a mito pretty bad?

    Alfa MiTo
recently got my Mito, and am still learning to drive so when i went out in the dark yesterday for the first time, i was surprised by how bad the dipped beam was. even my dad was too. Have any of you guys noticed this/fitted aftermarket bulbs to improve them? if so, what do you recommend?
  8. GT dipped headlights are pretty pants - options?

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Hey again all! So the dipped beam is pretty pants.. Beam is focused at the right height (checked by garage two weeks back), and working correctly.. Just not as bright as I'd like.. What are my options to help brighten them up? As simple as just replacing the bulbs? Upgrading to HID units...
  9. urgent window help pretty please!

    Alfa 159, Brera & 946 Spider
this morning, after work, i wound my drivers window down to clear the condensation and it refused to go back up. after driving home down the motorway with it still down, ive attempted to get it back up without success. 10. My Spider going pretty cheaply on ebay

    Alfa GTV & 916 Spider
Hope mods don't mind...thought I'd post in the forum in case anyone is looking. I need something more practical than a 2 seater I'm afraid, so got a 159 on Thursday. I now feel extremly guilty when looking at both cars in the driveway knowing I'll be selling my first Alfa...feel like I'm...

  12. It's a pretty sad day......

    Rant Room
Well it seems finally that Shrew has given up! I can only imagine that he has finally had enough. He has either withdrawn from the forum, which is what I expect, or one of the mods has finally closed down his account. The former is my guess. The reason that it is a sad day, is that in my...
  13. Not a pretty sight

    Alfa 159, Brera & 946 Spider
ok this is not pretty but a CCTV image of my car getting shunted by a Southern water grab lorry and the only reason I didn't put it on the drive they had fitted a meter that day and had left a barrier across the drive nearly 9k worth of damage rear panel bumper front door No contest with...
  14. Did i screw this up pretty bad now? Cuttet the blue and me wire...

    ICE & Blue&Me
Hi guys! Just about to mount a new 2 din player for my dad, and in one second i loose my mind and cut the blue and me wire to extend it with longer cords. But when i see it, i se that some of the connections is ground arround the cables, and into the adapter of blue and me. How should i fix...
  15. GTV TB Wanted pretty please

    Alfa GTV & 916 Spider
So with the littlarrow arrived we now have a sensible 159ti saloon and an unnameable estate (it was AO members fault I bought it as no one would sell me their 159 TI Q4 SW). Anyway I struck a deal with the Mrs that I could buy a weekend car (on a tight budget) so I immediately thought of a GTV...

  19. Pretty impressive GTA fuel consumption...

    Alfa GTA
I know this topic has been done to death, but being a relatively recent GTA owner (but long time V6 owner), I am very impressed with with the fuel consumption of my GTA. Just re-filled up after a very busy week of driving which involved my usual commute of 20 motorway miles, a trip across...
  20. Swapping 147 interior was pretty simple

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
I have a white dog and the hairs were unacceptable on black cloth seats, so I found a spotless beige leather set from a 2007 5-door JTD for my 2001 TS 2.0 and drove over with a friend to attempt to install them last week. The seller was a breaker and agreed to dispose of the old ones. One small...
