  1. Brera Rear tow point

    Alfa 159, Brera & 946 Spider
Only noticed this today: The Brera's rear tow point seems to be a piddly little tube of metal that's been tapped and welded to the outside bottom RHS of the spare wheel compartment. Looks very flimsy and sticky-out/exposed down there.
  2. Clutch biting point

    Alfa GTV & 916 Spider
Chaps and Chapesses - the clutch on my 01 V6 Spider seems to have a very high biting point; it seems that is is near the top of the pedal travel. Considering the car has only done 19k miles, I can't believe that the clutch is on its' way out. Are here any other reasons that this should be...
  3. 147 Wiper Assembly - Weak point prone to breakage

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Hi For all you 147 owners out there be careful when changing your wiper blades in cold weather. The plastic moulding that holds the spline has a serious weak-point where it fixes on to the motor assembly. This weak-point is made weaker in cold weather because the plastic becomes more brittle...
  4. Battery and jump lead point

    Alfa GTV & 916 Spider
Does any one know if there is a jump lead point in the engine bay of the V6 GTV. Managed to flatten my battery (stupid car stereo with mute and off on same button). I reverse my car onto the drive which has a gradient to it that is not much fun to push the car up to get to the boot. Would...
  5. At what point did the GT handles change?

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Noticed yesterday that the passenger door outer handle on later model GT's does not have a key hol in it. Does anyone know at what point this changed (my 54 model has a key hole in it) as I wouldn't mind replacing mine with this type.
  6. Clutch bite point 2.5 V6 6 speed

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Is it normal for the clutch to bite relatively high on the 2.5 V6 156? or is it sign of a worn clutch? The pedal moved slick and easy with no slip evident. I did test drive one before this one that had quite a heavy clutch with a very low and sharp biting point. Are both of them knackered? I...
  7. Introduction, straight to the point.

    Introduce Yourself
Hi everyone, Gald to be a member. I've two problems with my 96 2.0 tspark GTV. Firstly, I don't like the alloys and I was thinking that I might pick up some of the newer GTV alloys. Any pictures and suggestions as to which era I might go for. I believe that 99/00 are pretty nice. I presume...
  8. Help on Clutch Bite point changing

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
I did an earlier post on this but now know a little more. After the car has warmed up in traffic (or on a long motorway run) the pedal gets an inch of slack movement. You can feel it loose at the first inch. I now know the bite point has also moved to be an inch lower. There is no sudden change...
  9. 156 GTA Jack Point (It Fell Off)

    Alfa GTA
Some time ago, the front passenger side jack point on fell off. I have a new one, but it needs painting. Can't seem to find anywhere that does a can of spray. £40 to get it done in a spray shop is a little steep. Anybody had and and resolved this issue?
  10. 75 Jacking Point Repair Panels

    Alfa 75, RZ, SZ
Hi All, Alfa 75 - The front jacking points are going to need replacing soon - but I can't find anywhere to buy replacements - does anybody know where I can source in the UK? :(
  11. Should I argue more - Is there any point

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
 I spent about €250 getting car serviced last week. Now the Airbag light won't go off. The garage say that it is not related to the service and they want about €100 to fix it!!! Can someone please confirm to me that this is coincidence?? or should I stand my ground. After reading the...
  12. What's the point?

    General Alfa Discussion
What's the point in the chat room on here as nobody other than me ever seems to use it? Seems a good idea when you can get instant answers and aren't sat waiting for replies to any questions?
  13. Adults point of view

I know you grownups see a couple in a sexy position. I dare you show this piccie to your children! Surprise... Surprise... How nice... 9 dolphins! True! They will not be able to see the couple. If you see the 9 dolphins... YOU'RE SICK! wink :D :D Zee
  14. Point of no return?

  15. Whats the point ?

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Not being from UK (and Deisel certainly not being popular in Australia), can someone confirm if there are tax savings for registering a Deisel instead of a normal petrol version?
