So I just detailed detailed the 156, topped up the oil and refilled the coolant (again.) I poked my head under the bonnet, looking for the leak that had to be there as my coolant has been draining itself for the past few weeks. So infront of the sump, next to the oil filter is this massive...

Guys, I'm a returning enthusiast - who despite already having too many cars, find myself very seduced into buying a GTV. It's a form of 'I should know better' insanity but the temptation is such....! There's a GTV on the bay, for which the seller has disclosed a recurring snag of it cutting...

My "new" GTV Cup has quite a few pink areas. Will a machine polish really be able to get the pink back to red or will I simply end up with very shiny pink paint? All paintwork is original.

I noticed my coolant was about midway between min and max so thought I would buy some top up. Went to Palmers, told them I had a v6 Brera with pink coolant and they've given me blue stuff  Silly question but I assume you can't mix them? Is it possible to buy the pink stuff anywhere...

My radiator hose cracked few weeks ago and the parts has finally arrived this week. I replaced both top and bottom hoses between the engine and radiator. Also took the chance to use a hose from tap to push all the old coolant from the radiator. I also connected the top hose from the reservior to...

Is there any way around the traditional Alfa red fading paint? Other than a respray. 155, 164, GTV etc. They all face the same respray only situation. Surely that cant be right. I think I know the answer, but its a depressing and expensive answer.
  14. Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Hi all, I'll use this as my hello post. I have a '04 Alfa 156 - 24,000 miles and just had it fully serviced 5 days ago at a local Kwik Fit garage. Tonight the engine started giving off steam and making a loud clicking noise. I pulled in to a garage to investigate and the engine seemed to be...

  16. Alfa 155
Howdy, My 155 is showing the dreaded fading to a deep pink in parts, usual areas; bonnet, roof, boot lid etc. I don't want to stretch to a respray and don't like using t-cut or any other harsh treatments. Any recommendations on the best way to restore that deep rosso red? I've heard the term...

Naff all on the box so resorted to music, sticking pink floyd - dark side of the moon on. Started out quite low, and as each song comes on progressivly the volume is getting louder  No complaints from the neighbours yet! I think it just has to be listened to loud.
