When the car vibrates this thing goes off like maracas. It's either the nut circled, or something it's attached to. I've trawled eper schematics, but I can't find that specific thing, what is the nut for? The rust on it doesn't look healthy, wondering if water is getting in behind the door.

Trivial question: but can anyone tell me what size is the pulley nut on an early Twinspark's alternator? Mine's seized (car's been sitting for a couple of years) - and there's no room to fit a socket and breaker bar with the alternator in situ to see if I can free it off. I'm hoping a cranked...

Was wondering if anyone knows what size nut and thread type I need to buy for hub bush bolts? I've sourced the bolt but for some inexplicable reason it doesn't come with a nyloc nut! I'm anticipating resorting to violence so should probably have a fresh nut to use! Any help appreciated! Cheers

I'm trying to change over to braided hoses, but one of the front nuts (where the solid pipe meets the flexible pipe) is stuck solid. I've soaked it in WD40, tried every spanner and pair of pliers I've got and still no luck. By now the nut is pretty much round, but not even the mole grips will...

I have had a look on various web pages etc, but I am trying to find an accurate figure for the torque for the front main hub nut. Things seem to range anything from 200Nm to 470Nm. I had a look at one manual and it said 427- 472Nm - but that just seems MASSIVE! There are a few low value...

Hi everyone, Apologies if I am missing something very obvious here! It's entirely possible I am being very dense here, but where should I expect to...
