My GT is clunking very badly, so I think the time has come to change the front strut mount as it's a 2005 model. I've watched the Autodoc video and the KYB video about changing the mount, and they both use a shock absorber socket, similar to this:

For the 2nd time we are having issues with the dogbone/gearbox mount on our G.
It is a rubbish design, the hole inside the large end which fits into the subframe is larger than the bolt which goes through it and the mount relies on the clamping force of that bolt to stop the mount moving...

My right mirror is a bit shakey and some folks I've talked with said that the right engine mount probably needs to be replaced.
My car did only 40k and I want to know if this is the right thing to replaced, and if there is a way to know if the mount has indeed finished its life.
Could anyone tell me if this is normal?
My front right engine mount seems stretched. Has the rubber inside gone?
I don’t have any knock or any vibrations just wandering if it extends like that under the weight of the engine.
Finally got round to replacing the drivers side engine mount today to cure the vibration at idle especially with air con on.
Sure it’s been done before but thought I would do a quick write up.

Just doing some cleaning and refreshing... I want to remove the NS front engine mount... Is it a case of placing a jack with wooden block under the sump? and taking the weight of the engine? then removing the mount? if so is it a one size fits when replacing?

looks like the only way to get the new V6 engine mount by now especially the one on the timing belt side, I'm considering but these are so pricey, So I come to ask for comments first...
I've seen online videos of how to change the springs of other car brands, but none of the alfa romeo giulietta.
Do you know of any tutorial or video that showed the steps to follow to disassemble the springs?
Has anyone had problems with corrosion in the 156 facelift with the bumper mounts infront of the wheels. Under the wings.
How crucial are they? As mine are pretty rotton.
Also is there somewhere i can buy replacement parts or will they need to be fabricated?
