I am not new to Alfa or front wheel drive my dad gave me one for my 3rd birthday but this one has 4 wheels not 3. After years of faithful service my 74GTV 2l is in the shop having a long overdue tidy up and my 69 Spider is on club registration so the 147 was the obvious choice to get me around...
I'm not sure if it is a mid-life crisis, or I just thought my S4 needed some company, I have increased the classic fleet to 2 or more likely 1 1/2, bought a 1967 Fiat 500, or all the bits when assembled should be a Fiat 500. Photos attached, not sure if I am mad to take this on!
I've been trying to get the answer to this quesiton over the last few days as I need to replace the 'box in my Spider TS.
I believe the Phase One box will fit? Although the connection for the speed sensor should just be ignored / cut off?
Will 147 / 156 boxes fit or even JTS boxes...
It goes without saying that I love how my Brera looks but, after just 1 week, I am astonished by how many other people seem to love the look of them.
I've had comments from staff at the garage, the carwash and at BHP this weekend, people walking past me queueing commented on my completely...
my mate is interested in buying a 159 Sportwagon. He wants to know what to look out for.
I suggested checking the inside edge of the front tyres for any alignment issues. He'll be doing a fair bit of mileage so I also suggested one of the diesels.
Anything else you can think of...

Just a quick thank you to Paul. This is what a place like this is all about. Helped my one colleague out with a few items. Top stuff mate.
My colleague was well impressed with you and just the general vibe of Alfa owners:thumbs:
A pal has a 2005 156 Sport 1.9JTD. Tells me car is running well and no obvious flaws, however periodically the MCSF lights come on, however car still runs fine. They clear, only to come back on again a few days later. EGR is changed, as is turbo hose. Only thing I can think of is MAF/MAP need...
I am not the best person to offer advice so I'll request the input from you well-wisened Suddites.
A good mate has the chance of a good solid, rust free Sprint from a mate in Italy. So obviously LHD, however it is a 1.3. What value approx in one of these and would it be worth his...
So, I've had my black GTV around 2 weeks. It is a phase 2 (1999) and has had plenty of money thrown at it over the years. So far, so good (ok the accelerator cable snapped after just 6 days but that's one of those things) ;)
Anyway, with it's 17in Teledials and being black, she scrubs up well...
A good friend has a 2003 Renault Megane estate, 1.9tdi, 130bhp. It has been through 3 turbos and numerous electrical faults, and he has had enough after 4 years and 75K miles! Can't believe hes kept it for this long!
Anyway, he has asked me for my thoughts on the replacement. Needs to be...

Mate of mine has recently been posted to Germany short notice and left me his under-used 1996 2.0 TS Spider to sell for him. I've checked a bunch of online sites to see what it's worth and have seen the spread of prices from £1500-£4000 and, being out of touch with this...
